Scrapbook Challenges Week for me

This week is a busy one for me at Scrapbook Challenges. 
My sketch is published! 

#289 is all about circles

Here is the sketch that I made for SC:

• Rubber bands all knotted together (from the bracket of my daughter)

My second challenge this week is the 

By the numbers challenge 'It takes two!'

This is easy and fun to do. You have to use:

• 2 photos
• 2 papers
• 2 frames
• 2 titles
• 2 ribbons
• 2 punches

Here is my example that I made. Those photos I made a few weeks back of my youngest daughter and her friend. It was hilarious to see them playing like that!
I used the digital kit A work in Progress 'Happy Days'.

Kaboodle Doodles DT #113 Anything but rectangle

Challenge #113 at Kaboodle Doodles is to let go of rectangles on your card.....well  I got rid of the rectangles (except for the card itself....whoops). I made a puzlle card. Took me hours to cut them out. I used different paper pieces for every puzzle piece. I didn't want to make an ordinary puzzle.

I used the great paperline of Cosmo Circket - Togetherness - Cardstock elements (paper pieces) and the Ready Chips Set. The carton blanco puzzle is from Crea-Ation. I also used some sandpaper to distress all the edges.

Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #112 Circles and squares

This is a fun challenge. Use circles and squares on your lay out in any way you want.
Found some papers I had in my stash for ages. I can't even remember what line they are!  But they were perfect for this challenge......

I used my new circle punches to punch out the little girls and the bigger circles.
I'm all in 3D foam tape at the moment! The give such a great extra to cards. And it is cheap too.

Scrapbook Challenges March Madness: Round 1

This is something different. The DT of Scrapbook Challenges is competing against one another.

It is going to be hard. My fellow DT member Jowilna made a fabulous layout. But I'm not giving up yet.

Scrapbook Challenges DT: Sketch #287 Where did time go?

Digital kit: A Work in Progress, A little Fruity 

This is be one my last entries for Scrapbook Challenges. I'm leaving the DT after almost a year. I will miss it!

Scrapbook Challenges DT Sketch #286 Snow

Snow, today that seemed so far away! It was a beautiful spring day.....


The new sketch at Scrapbook Challenges is #286 is a nice one to start some experimenting.
Here is the sketch that I used for inspiration




I started with the Paper Crush Background Paper 'Pucker up' from Sassafrass.
I made two rectangle maskes and used Blond Moments Pigment powder - Sugere Licure and sprayed it on the laouyt out. That I added  some Antiquing Walnut Ink and sprayed quite a lot on the layout. Finally I sprinkeled some white embossing powder (looked good with the snow on the photos) en used my heating gun to fixate it.
The circles are made form Sassafras Paper Crush Sweet Smooches. The punched border was ready made with this paper. (Handy!)

• Red ink and red Stabilo 88
• 3D foam

Kaboodle Doodles DT: Challenge #110 Green

Kaboodle Doodles weekly card challenge is there with challenge # 110 already. Theme is green (or St. Patricks day). Since we don't celbrate st. Patricks here, I decided to make a green, spring card. 


A stepper this time.

 Used Materials:

• Green background paper - We R Memory Keepers - Christmas Pack (yes you read it right, you can use xmas papers on spring cards!)
• 2 types of flower paper: Vinntage Paper - E.M.P
• Flower and heart embellishments: Webster's Pages
• Photo corner: cut from the packaging of bloomers Webster's Pages
• Brad - Art Talent
• Stamp 'Van Harte' (Congrats) - Art Talent

Scrapbook Challenges DT Sketch #285 Layout, card and ATC cards

Scrapbook Challenges Double Page Layout #285

I love the new sketch at Scrapbook Challenges. I started to make the double pager, but ended up with just one page.
The photos were made last month in Austria on our skiing holiday. It was the only day with splendid weather and we all met at the top of the mountain. Okke loved the snow as you can see.......

* Scrappers Floss - pink but I inkted it because I needed blue floss
* Flags: made myself from some scraps of papers
* Scallops: cut with scissors

Kaboodle Doodles DT: Challenge #109 Flowers

This is my entry for this week at Kaboodle Doodles Blog. 

Challenge 109 is "All about flowers".

I decided to make a card for my family with flowers,

 because my uncle passed away last thursday. 

Although he was 86. He will be missed!

I visited another uncle a few weeks ago, I hadn't seen him in many many years 

and as he is 91 already I thought, there might be limited time. 

Turns out I should have visited this uncle too!

I used some patterned papers from my stash (sorry don't know the brand names) and cut  two squares and one large and two small rectangles. I inkted them with black ink. 

I stamped three flowers on black paper and 

embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I cut them out.

I added a ribbon (Webster's Pages) and used 3D foam to add some depth in the design. 

I finally added the word 'Sterkte' in white pen.

DT Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #284

Nr 284 is all about circles!

SC 284 Ski-ing Koningsleiten

The photos were made two weeks ago in Austria while we were skiing. Elske really loves skiing. When she starts to sing we know that she is enjoying herself.
